What are your views on radio promo? My band just released an album, had a 6 week campaign with one target genre, and are now retooling for a 4 week campaign in a different genre. I want to give the record the best chance to grow legs, but also don't want to be throwing $$$ away. Thoughts? -Stacybass

Not worth it. Don't waste your money on radio promo. Unless you have a bazillion YouTube plays, on The Tonight Show, opening for U2's entire tour AND have an email list of at least 50,000 you have no chance at commercial radio.

You have to put in the work on the ground first.
